ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker is a reliable protection for electrical installations, used in residential buildings, public facilities and industrial plants. It provides effective protection against the effects of short circuits and overloads, protecting electrical circuits and devices connected to them. This model is characterized by a compact design, taking up only one module on a TH35 rail.
Characteristics and application
The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker with C characteristic is particularly recommended for protecting circuits with receivers generating inrush currents during start-up – e.g. motors, transformers or refrigeration units. The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting such devices well without unnecessarily disconnecting the circuit. The rated current of 0.5 A makes it an ideal solution for circuits with low power consumption, requiring precise protection.
Construction and parameters
The circuit breaker has been designed and manufactured in accordance with IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 standards, which guarantees its safety and reliability. It has energy limitation class 3 and surge category III, which makes it resistant to interference in the electrical network. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 6 kA at both 230 V and 400 V, providing effective protection in the event of a short circuit. A wide operating temperature range (-25°C to +55°C) allows it to be used in various environmental conditions. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility during installation. Protection degree IP20 protects against accidental contact.
The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500 V, and the rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4 kV. The circuit breaker is intended for environments with a pollution degree of 3 and offers the possibility of expansion by mounting additional auxiliary contacts or overcurrent releases. Installation can be carried out in any position, and the permissible cross-section of multi-wire and solid-core wires is from 1 to 25 mm².
