Characteristics and application

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker with D characteristic, rated current of 0.5 A and short-circuit breaking capacity up to 6 kA at 230/400 V is perfect for circuits with devices with high inrush current – e.g. electric motors or transformers. The D characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts with a certain delay to short-term current surges, which avoids unnecessary tripping of the circuit when starting such devices. The rated impulse withstand voltage of 4 kV provides additional safety in the event of overvoltage.

Construction and mounting

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker is a two-pole (2P) device, mounted on a TH35 rail. Its width is 2 modules, which allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. It accepts cross-sections of solid and stranded wires from 1 to 25 mm², which provides flexibility when choosing the appropriate cables. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact and limited ingress of solid objects. The possibility of double connection of the insulating busbar (top and bottom) and power supply from above or below facilitates mounting and adaptation to various installation conditions. Additionally, the circuit breaker has a contact position indicator and the possibility of sealing the lever in the "On" and "Off" positions, which increases safety.
