NH Fuse Links – Reliable Installation Protection
NH fuse links are a proven safety element for electrical installations, protecting against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed for industrial applications, they meet the standards of PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636. This specific model, designated NH00 gG 125A/400V, is a time-delay fuse, ideal for applications requiring tolerance to short-term overvoltages, e.g. when starting motors.
Characteristics and application
The NH00 gG 125A/400V fuse link is characterized by a rated current of 125A and a rated voltage of 400V AC. The "gG" designation indicates its versatility – it is suitable for general-purpose protection of cables and equipment, providing protection against both overloads and short circuits. The time-delay characteristic (g) allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without tripping, which is particularly important for equipment with high starting current.
Construction and product features
The construction of the fuse link is based on a solid body made of steatite – a material with high thermal stability. The knife contacts made of silver-plated brass ensure excellent conductivity and minimize the risk of corrosion. The aluminum covers provide additional protection against environmental influences. A combined type operation indicator (double) – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover – ensures easy and reliable visual identification of the blown fuse, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. The lack of metal insulated grips (IMGL) means a standard construction, compatible with most available fuse bases.
- High breaking capacity: The rated breaking capacity of the short-circuit current is 120 kA at 500V AC, which guarantees effective protection of the installation in the event of a failure.
- Double operation indicator: Facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse, minimizing installation downtime.
- Time-delay characteristic: Allows for momentary exceeding of the rated current without unnecessary tripping of the circuit.
- Solid construction: Ensures durability and reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions.
- Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of applications in electrical installations up to 400V AC.
