Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection
Knife fuse links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting against the effects of short circuits and overloads. The design and parameters of these fuse links comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliable operation and safety of use. Model NH1C gG 125A/400V, thanks to its time-delay characteristic (gG), is perfect for protecting general-purpose cables and devices, tolerating short-term current surges during start-up.
Construction and application
The NH1C gG 125A/400V fuse link is characterized by a solid construction. The steatite body provides thermal stability, and the silver-plated brass knife contacts guarantee good electrical contact and minimize voltage drop. The fuse link is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which affects its high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 120 kA. Aluminum covers protect against corrosion, and the double tripping indicator (red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the cover) facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of the fuse link status.
Key features and benefits
- Versatility: The gG fuse link is designed to protect general-purpose cables and devices, providing comprehensive protection for the installation.
- High breaking capacity: A breaking capacity of 120 kA guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a failure, minimizing the risk of damage.
- Double tripping indicator: Two independent indicators facilitate quick identification of a blown fuse, reducing installation downtime.
- Durable construction: The use of high-quality materials – steatite, silver-plated brass and aluminum – ensures long life and reliability of the fuse link.
- Remote signaling capability: Compatibility with the NVS 5 microswitch allows for remote monitoring of the fuse link status, increasing safety and installation efficiency.
- Compliance with standards: Meeting the requirements of IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards confirms the high quality and safety of the product.
It is worth remembering the possibility of using insulated grips (NH…/I…) for additional safety during fuse link replacement and insulating grips R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI for mounting in the fuse base.
