Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection
Knife fuse links NH are industrial devices designed to protect electrical installations against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their design and electrical parameters comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliable operation and safety. This particular fuse link, with a rated current of 100A and a voltage of 400V, is characterized by a time-delay gG characteristic, which means it is intended for general use and provides comprehensive protection for conductors.
A distinguishing feature of this series is the dual tripping indicator – both a red eye on the ceramic body and a spring-loaded plate on the top cover indicate a blown fuse. This system ensures easy and quick identification of the fault, minimizing installation downtime. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of the fuse link status.
The fuse link design is designed for durability and reliability. The steatite body provides thermal stability, and the silver-plated brass knife contacts guarantee good electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The fuse link is tightly filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which translates into a high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 120kA – and stable electrical parameters.
