Knife fuse links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their parameters and dimensions comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliability and safety of use. This specific fuse link, designated as NH1C gG 50A/400V, combines proven solutions with modern conveniences.

Construction and characteristic features

The fuse link is made of high-quality materials – a body made of steatite (thermally stable material), silver-plated brass knife contacts and an aluminum cover, which ensures corrosion resistance and long-term operation. Filling the body with quartz sand of a special granulation increases the short-circuit breaking capacity to 120kA and stabilizes the electrical parameters. Thanks to this, the fuse link effectively interrupts the short-circuit current, minimizing the risk of damage to the installation.

Particular attention is paid to the dual operating indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and reliable identification of a blown fuse, both visually and remotely (in combination with the NVS 5 microswitch). Silver-plated knife contacts facilitate mounting in a fuse base or fuse disconnector.

Application and parameters

The NH1C gG 50A/400V fuse link is intended for protecting cables and devices with a time-delay characteristic (gG), which means that it allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without tripping. This is particularly important when starting devices with electric motors or other loads with high starting current. The rated current of this fuse link is 50A at 400V AC. The total Joule integral of switching is 13400 A²s, and the pre-arcing 4100 A²s. Power losses are 5.3W. The operating indicator is combined (dual).

It is worth remembering the compliance with IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards, which confirms compliance with strict safety and quality requirements. Additional insulated handles (NH…/I…) increase safety during assembly and operation.
