Fuse links – reliable installation protection
NH fuse links are industrial electrical protection devices designed to protect against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their parameters and dimensions comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, guaranteeing their reliability and safety. This particular fuse link, designated as NH1C gG 63A/400V, combines a proven design with modern solutions.
Construction and characteristic features
The NH1C gG 63A/400V fuse link is characterized by a solid construction. The body is made of durable steatite – a material with high thermal stability. The silver-plated brass knife contacts ensure excellent conductivity and minimize the risk of corrosion. Aluminum caps provide additional protection against external factors. The fuse link is filled with quartz sand with a precisely selected grain size, which translates into a high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 120 kA) and stable electrical parameters.
- Double operating indicator: A combined signaling system – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover – ensures quick and reliable identification of a blown fuse.
- Versatile application: The fuse link with gG characteristic is intended for general use, protecting cables against overloads and short circuits.
- Compatibility: The ability to cooperate with the NVS 5 microswitch enables remote signaling of fuse operation, which is particularly important in automation and monitoring systems.
- Easy installation: Silver-plated knife contacts facilitate installation in a fuse base or fuse disconnector.
Technical parameters and application
The NH1C gG 63A/400V fuse link is designed to operate in alternating current (AC) circuits with a rated voltage of 400V and a rated current of 63A. The total Joule integral of switching is 21700 A²s, and the pre-arcing 4600 A²s, which proves its ability to withstand high short-circuit energies. Power losses are 6.5W at rated current load. Thanks to this, it finds application in:
- Protection of electrical installations in public and industrial buildings
- Protection of circuits powering electrical devices
- Electrical power distribution systems
- Applications requiring reliable protection against overloads and short circuits.
Additional equipment, such as insulated handles (NH…/I…) or fuse links with a striker (NH.../K…) increase safety and enable integration with advanced remote monitoring and control systems.
