Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection

Knife fuse links NH are industrial devices designed to protect electrical installations against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their design and electrical parameters comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliable operation and safety of use. This particular fuse link, with a rated current of 80A and a voltage of 400V, is characterized by a time-delay gG characteristic, which means it provides full-range protection of conductors against overload and short circuit.

The NH1C gG 80A/400V fuse link is equipped with a double tripping indicator – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a spring-loaded plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and quick identification of a blown fuse, both visually based on the fuse base and in the fuse disconnector. Additionally, the indicator in the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote tripping signaling.

The design of the fuse link has been designed with durability and reliability in mind. The body is made of durable steatite, and the knife contacts are silver-plated, which minimizes the risk of corrosion and ensures good electrical contact. The fuse link is tightly filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which affects the high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 120kA – and the stability of electrical parameters.

It is worth remembering the possibility of using insulated grips (NH…/I…) for additional safety during installation and insulating grips R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI for proper seating of the fuse link in the fuse base.
