NH2 gG 400A/400V fuse link is an element used to protect electrical installations from the effects of overloads and short circuits. It is a proven component, compliant with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use. Designed for operation in alternating current (AC) circuits, it provides effective protection in both industrial applications and more demanding commercial installations.

Construction and characteristic features

The fuse link is made of high-quality steatite – a material with excellent insulating properties and thermal stability. Silver-plated brass knife contacts ensure low transition resistance and minimize the risk of overheating. Aluminum covers protect against corrosion, and the body filled with quartz sand of a special granulation increases the short-circuit switching capacity to 120 kA. This makes the fuse link resistant to damage during operation and provides long-term protection of the installation.

Operation indicator and signaling

The fuse link is equipped with a dual operation indicator – a red eye located centrally on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and quick visual identification of a blown fuse, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. Additionally, the top indicator allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch, which enables remote signaling of the fuse link status – particularly useful in monitoring and automation systems. The gG characteristic indicates universal application – protection against overloads and short circuits. Power losses of 26.5W are typical for this type of fuse link and do not significantly affect the energy efficiency of the installation. The total Joule integral of switching is 2240000 A²s and the arc fault integral is 553000 A²s, which proves the high energy resistance of the device.
