Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection
Knife fuse links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. This model, designated NH3C gG 355A/500V, has been designed with industrial requirements in mind and meets the standards of PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636. It is a key component for ensuring continuity of operation and safety in various applications.
Design and characteristic features
The NH3C gG fuse link combines a solid construction with advanced technical solutions. The body made of steatite, a material with high thermal stability, ensures reliable operation even in difficult conditions. The silver-plated brass knife contacts guarantee excellent conductivity and minimize the risk of corrosion. Aluminum covers provide additional protection against external factors. The fuse link is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which translates into a high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 120 kA – and stable electrical parameters.
Particular attention is paid to the dual operating indicator: a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and reliable identification of a blown fuse, which is important both during visual inspections and in remote monitoring systems. The indicator in the top cover enables cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch, allowing for remote signaling of the fuse link operation.
Application and benefits
The NH3C gG 355A/500V fuse link is used to protect electrical circuits with a voltage of up to 500V AC and a rated current of 355A. It is characterized by a gG characteristic, which means that it is a general-purpose fuse link, providing full-range protection against overloads and short circuits. Thanks to this, it is perfect for protecting cables and various types of electrical equipment.
- High reliability: solid construction and high-quality materials guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
- Fast fault identification: the dual operating indicator makes it easy to locate a blown fuse.
- Remote monitoring capability: compatibility with the NVS 5 microswitch enables integration with remote signaling systems.
- Versatility: suitable for protecting various electrical circuits with a voltage of up to 500V AC and a rated current of 355A
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of standards PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636, ensuring safe use.
