Medium voltage fuse links – reliable installation protection
VV fuse links are a proven protection element in medium voltage networks. Designed to protect cables, transformers, motors and capacitor banks from the effects of short circuits and overloads. The construction based on a high-strength ceramic tube and silver fuse elements guarantees reliable operation in demanding conditions.
The VVC3 12kV/10A 442 fuse link is characterized by a high short-circuit breaking capacity of 63 kA, which ensures effective protection of the installation in the event of a failure. The rated current of 10A makes it suitable for protecting circuits with medium power. Designed for operation in AC (alternating current) systems.
Construction and characteristic features:
- High resistance to environmental conditions: A reliable sealing system protects against moisture, which translates into long life and stable parameters.
- Precise workmanship: Galvanized contacts and caps made of electrolytic copper coated with nickel (Ni) ensure excellent electrical contact and minimize the risk of corrosion.
- Improved replacement: The design of the contact cap has been improved, making replacement easier and faster during maintenance or repair.
- Striker: The fuse link does not have a thermal trigger, and the striker force is 50N. The striker indicates the operation of the fuse link and activates the tripping mechanism of power fuses.
- Electrical parameters: Cold resistance is 130 mΩ, and power loss at rated current is 15W. Minimum I²t min pre-arcing integral is 165 A²s, and maximum I²t max is 1.450 A²s. Minimum breaking current I₃ is 43A.
Application:
VV fuse links are widely used in:
- Medium voltage switchgear
- Transformer stations
- Industrial plants
- Electricity distribution networks
Thanks to their high reliability and effectiveness, VV fuse links are an optimal solution for protecting electrical installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads, ensuring continuity of supply and safety of use. It is worth noting the availability of fuse bases with an operating indicator (microswitch), which facilitates diagnostics and fault location.
