Safety of installations and devices – NH fuse links

NH knife fuse links are reliable and proven elements protecting electrical installations against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their parameters and dimensions comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards. This specific fuse link, designated as NH00 gG 10A/500V, is designed to protect circuits with a rated current of 10A at a voltage of 500V AC.

The fuse link is characterized by a time-delay characteristic (gG), which means it allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without disconnecting, which is particularly important when starting devices with motors or other loads with high inrush current. This minimizes the risk of unnecessary circuit tripping during normal operation.

Construction and distinguishing features

The fuse link is made of high-quality materials – a body made of steatite (thermally stable material), silver-plated brass knife contacts and aluminum covers, which ensures corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The body filled with quartz sand of a special granulation guarantees a high short-circuit breaking capacity (120kA) and stable electrical parameters.

It is worth noting the dual indication of operation – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a spring-loaded plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and reliable identification of a blown fuse, both visually in the fuse base and in the fuse disconnector. Additionally, the indicator in the upper cover enables cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of operation.

Application and compatibility

The NH00 gG 10A/500V fuse link finds application in a wide range of industrial and commercial installations where effective protection against overloads and short circuits is required. It is compatible with fuse bases and fuse disconnectors equipped with microswitches for remote signaling. Insulating holders R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI can be used for mounting for additional safety during work. It is worth remembering the possibility of using fuse links with a striker (NH.../K…) for cooperation with HVL, KVL disconnectors.
