NH Fuse Links – Reliable Installation Protection
NH1C gG fuse links are a proven safety element for electrical installations, protecting against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed to work with dedicated fuse bases, they provide a quick and effective response in the event of a failure, protecting both cables and connected devices. They are indispensable in power distribution systems, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing the risk of downtime.
Construction and Application
NH1C gG fuse links are characterized by a solid construction – the body is made of steatite, and the knife contacts are silver-plated, which guarantees stable electrical parameters and long-term reliability. Thanks to the use of quartz sand with a special granulation, the fuse links exhibit a high short-circuit breaking capacity. They are intended for protecting cables and wires in industrial installations and public buildings. The gG characteristic means that these are time-delay fuse links, i.e. they tolerate short-term current surges, e.g. during motor starting.
Key Features and Benefits
- Dual Operation Indicator: The presence of two indicators – on the top cover and in the central part of the body – facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse, both visually from the fuse base and from the disconnector. This is particularly important when checking the condition of the installation and quickly locating faults.
- High Short-Circuit Breaking Capacity (120 kA): ensures effective protection against the effects of serious short circuits, minimizing the risk of damage to equipment and infrastructure.
- Time-Delay Characteristic (gG): allows for trouble-free starting of devices with motors or other loads generating high inrush currents without unnecessary tripping of the protection.
- Solid Construction: Steatite body and silver-plated knife contacts guarantee durability and reliability even in harsh working conditions.
- Compliance with Standards: The product meets the requirements of IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards, confirming its safety and quality.
- Rated Current 40A at 500V AC: allows adaptation to a wide range of electrical applications.
It is important to select the correct fuse link for a specific application – too low a rated current will cause frequent tripping of the protection, and too high a current – may not operate in the event of a failure.
