Cartridge fuse NH00 gG 63A/500V – reliable installation protection

The NH00 gG 63A/500V cartridge fuse is an element used to protect electrical installations against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed for industrial applications, it meets the requirements of PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards. It is a proven component, providing effective protection of wires and devices.

Construction and characteristic features

The fuse is made of high-quality materials – a body made of steatite (thermally stable material), silver-plated brass knife contacts and an aluminum cover, which guarantees corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The inside of the fuse is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which affects the high short-circuit breaking capacity.

A special feature of this fuse is the double indication of operation (KOMBI) – a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and clear visual identification of the fuse blowing, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of the fuse status.

Application and parameters

The NH00 gG 63A/500V cartridge fuse is primarily used in industrial installations where protection against overloads and short circuits is required. The gG characteristic means full-range protection, protecting against both types of hazards. The rated current of 63A and the rated voltage of 500V AC make it a universal element that can be used in many different applications. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity is as high as 120kA. These values translate into high efficiency in the event of a failure. The fuse is also characterized by power losses at the level of 6W and total Joule disconnection value of 32500 A²s and arc 6600 A²s. This is a device operating under AC voltage with a double indication of operation – combined.

Silver-plated knife contacts with a special shape facilitate mounting. For additional safety, insulated handles (NH…/I…) and fuses with a striker (NH.../K…) are available for cooperation with disconnectors equipped with signaling microswitches.
