NH00 gG 16A/500V fuse – reliable installation protection
The NH00 gG 16A/500V fuse is an element used to protect electrical installations against the effects of overloads and short circuits. It is a proven component, compliant with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use. Designed for both industrial applications and building installations, it provides effective protection of wires and devices.
Construction and characteristic features
The fuse is made of high-quality materials – a steatite (thermally stable material) body, silver-plated brass knife contacts and an aluminum cover, which ensures corrosion resistance and long life. The inside of the fuse is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which affects the high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 120 kA) and stable electrical parameters. It is equipped with a double tripping indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover, which facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse. The KOMBI version provides good visibility of the fuse status both in bases and in fuse disconnectors.
Application and parameters
The NH00 gG 16A/500V fuse has a gG characteristic, which means it is a general-purpose fuse designed to protect wires against overloads and short circuits. The rated current is 16A at a rated voltage of AC 500V and DC 250V. Thanks to this, it finds application in a wide range of electrical installations. The Joule integral value is 790 A²s, and the pre-arcing value is 250 A²s – these parameters demonstrate the ability to withstand high short-circuit currents without damage. Additionally, it is equipped with a combined indicator, which facilitates quick diagnosis of the fuse status.
Mounting and additional accessories
Appropriate insulating holders (e.g. R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI) are required for mounting NH fuses. Fuses with a striker (NH.../K…) designed to work with HVL, KVL fuse disconnectors equipped with microswitches for remote tripping signaling are also available. It is important to remember to select the correct fuse for a specific application and load.
