Insulated busbar for modular devices

The IZ16/2F/54 insulated busbar is a key component of power systems, designed for the fast and secure connection of modular devices in electrical switchboards. The fork design enables the efficient connection of 22 devices over a length of 1000 mm, allowing for the servicing of standard 54-module switchboards.

The busbar is made of high-quality M1EZ6 type copper with a thickness of 1.5 mm, ensuring excellent electrical conductivity and minimal energy losses. The insulation, made of high-temperature resistant and self-extinguishing PVC, guarantees operational safety and compliance with the requirements of the PN-EN 60947-7-1 standard.

Operating parameters and safety

The device operates at a rated voltage up to 500V AC/DC and a continuous current of 100A, allowing it to power even the most demanding circuits. The insulation strength is 2.5 kV, and the insulation resistance exceeds 2.5 MΩ in accordance with the PN-EN 53482 standard.

The design maintains full functionality within a temperature range from -20°C to +50°C, and the glow-wire test at 850°C confirms its high fire resistance (flammability class V-O). The busbar is suitable for use in both single-phase and multi-phase installations.

Application and compatibility

The product is used for power bridging or connections between products in switchboards. It is mounted together with circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs), and RCBOs. Thanks to the standard module width of 18 mm, it fits most available modular devices.

Using the busbar allows connections to be made significantly faster than traditional wiring methods, while simultaneously providing more free space in the switchboard and a more aesthetic appearance of the installation. This solution is used for modernizing existing switchboards and constructing new electrical installations.
