LPC 2.5 kVAr, 440V, 50Hz capacitor is an element designed to improve the power factor in electrical installations. It is used to compensate for reactive power generated by inductive loads, such as motors, transformers, or power supplies. Construction and characteristic features

The LPC capacitor utilizes advanced production technology using metallized polypropylene film with low losses. This film is characterized by self-healing ability, which increases the reliability and lifespan of the device. The capacitor is dry and filled with non-toxic polypropylene resin, ensuring optimal heat dissipation properties. The housing is made of aluminum and equipped with overpressure disconnectors – protection against damage in the event of a failure. Faston connectors facilitate quick and safe installation.

Safety and protection

Safety is a priority. LPC capacitors are equipped with discharge resistors, which, after disconnection from the power supply, reduce the voltage at the terminals to a safe level (75V) within a maximum of 3 minutes. Additionally, the internal overpressure disconnector protects the capacitor bank from serious damage in the event of exceeding the permissible operating parameters. The capacitor complies with the standards PN-EN-61048, PN-EN-60252 and EN-60831-1/2.
