Overcurrent circuit breaker ETIMAT 10 – reliable protection for installations

The ETIMAT 10 overcurrent circuit breaker is an element for protecting electrical installations in residential, public and industrial buildings. It provides effective protection against the effects of short circuits and overloads, protecting electrical circuits and devices from damage. It is a single-pole circuit breaker that will find application in many installations.

Characteristics and application

The ETIMAT 10 circuit breaker with characteristic B is designed to protect circuits where surge currents with relatively low values occur, typical for resistive loads and lighting. Characteristic B allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates the starting of devices with a motor well. The rated current of 16A makes it suitable for protecting circuits with medium power consumption.

The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 10 kA at 230 V and 400 V, and the Icu capacity reaches 15 kA at 400 V. This means that the circuit breaker effectively breaks the circuit in the event of a short circuit with a high current, minimizing the risk of damage and fire. Protection class IP20 provides protection against accidental contact.

Functionality and installation

The ETIMAT 10 circuit breaker offers a number of conveniences for both installers and users:

• Possibility of sealing: A seal can be placed on the lever in the "On" or "Off" position, which prevents accidental change of the circuit breaker status.

• Additional equipment: The possibility of mounting auxiliary contacts, overcurrent and undervoltage releases expands the functionality of the circuit breaker and allows it to be adapted to specific installation needs.

• Contact position indicator: Facilitates visual control of the circuit breaker status.

• ON/OFF marking: Clear marking on the switching lever makes operation easier.

• Mounting on TH35 rail: Standard mounting on the TH35 rail ensures easy and quick installation and replacement.

• Double connection: The possibility of connecting both an insulating busbar and a wire provides flexibility during installation.

• Power supply from above or below: Allows adaptation to specific mounting conditions.

• EAN code: Each circuit breaker is marked with a unique EAN code to facilitate identification and inventory management.

The circuit breaker is adapted to operate at ambient temperatures from -25°C to +55°C and at a frequency of 50-60 Hz. The cross-section of the connection wires is from 1 mm² to 25 mm². It meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2, which confirms its safety and reliability.
