Circuit breaker ETIMAT 6 – reliable installation protection

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker is an element used to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. Designed for both residential, public and industrial installations, it ensures safety and continuity of power supply. The 1p C10 model is characterized by a rated current of 10A and a C tripping characteristic, which means it is suitable for protecting circuits with receivers generating inrush currents, e.g. motors.

Construction and technical parameters

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker has been designed for easy mounting on a TH35 rail. Its compact dimensions (width 1 module, depth 68 mm) allow for optimal use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500V, and the rated voltage is 400V (but it can also operate at 230V). The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 6kA at both 230V and 400V, which guarantees effective protection in the event of a short circuit. Protection class IP20 provides protection against accidental contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.

Application and benefits

This single-pole circuit breaker with a C characteristic is used in lighting circuits, socket circuits and for protecting electrical devices with a characteristic starting current. The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting motors well. Thanks to compliance with IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC/EN 60947-2 standards, its reliability and safety of use can be guaranteed. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility during installation. In addition, this circuit breaker can be equipped with an auxiliary contact or overcurrent release (available separately), which increases its functionality.
