Safety and protection in your electrical installation
Residual Current Device (RCD) EFI-P2 A 16/0.1 is a key element ensuring the safety of using the electrical installation, protecting against electric shock in both direct and indirect contact with live elements. This device not only protects people but also minimizes the risk of fire caused by damage to cable insulation. Its application is wide – from home installations, through commercial facilities, to industrial ones.
Functionality and technical parameters
This circuit breaker is designed to operate in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks, where the neutral and earth conductors are separated. Thanks to type A sensitivity, it effectively reacts to alternating residual currents and pulsating DC currents, which increases the level of protection. The rated current of 16 A and the rated differential current of 0.1 A make it an ideal solution for protecting circuits with medium load. The circuit breaker has two poles and is mounted on a DIN rail – a standard solution that facilitates installation and replacement. Its width of 2 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board.
- Short-circuit strength at 10 kA guarantees reliable operation even in the event of serious disturbances in the network.
- Connection conductor cross-section up to 25 mm² (both solid and stranded) ensures compatibility with most standard installations.
- Rated voltage 240 V makes it suitable for typical power grids.
- Protection degree IP20 provides basic protection against accidental contact.
- Impulse withstand voltage 0.4 kA increases its durability and reliability in difficult working conditions.
Installation and additional information
Installation of the EFI-P2 A 16/0.1 RCD is simple and intuitive thanks to the standard mounting method on a DIN rail. Connection terminals allow connection of conductors with a cross-section of up to 25 mm². It is worth remembering to regularly test the functionality of the circuit breaker using the "Test" button to ensure its correct operation. Additionally, the circuit breaker has an indicator of the main contact position, which facilitates identification of its status (ON/OFF). The terminal design allows the use of insulated busbars on both the upper and lower terminals, increasing installation flexibility.
