Residual current circuit breaker EFI-P2 A 40/0.03 002061112
Residual Current Device (RCD) is a key element of any electrical installation, ensuring the safety of users and equipment. The EFI-P2 A 40/0.03 model is a reliable device designed to protect against electric shock, both from direct and indirect contact with live parts. Additionally, it protects devices from potential fire hazards resulting from insulation damage.
This two-pole (2P) switch with a rated current of 40A and sensitivity A (0.03A) is designed to operate in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks. Its construction based on AC technology means it reacts to alternating differential currents, which is standard in most domestic and industrial installations. A rated differential current value of 0.03A provides effective protection against the effects of electric shock.
Construction and mounting
The switch is designed for mounting on a DIN rail, which facilitates its installation and replacement. Its width of 2 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. Connection terminals allow connection of multi-core and solid-core wires with a cross-section of 25 mm². The solid construction guarantees stable operation even in difficult operating conditions. Additionally, the switch has a degree of protection IP20, which means protection against finger contact and solid objects larger than 12.5mm – sufficient for most standard indoor applications.
Application and safety
Residual Current Devices are essential wherever there is a risk of electric shock – in homes, apartments, public buildings and industrial plants. A rated differential current value of 0.03A makes this model particularly recommended for protecting lighting circuits and sockets in places with an increased risk of contact with water or moisture. Short-circuit strength at 10kA provides resistance to sudden voltage and current surges, protecting the device from damage and ensuring continuity of supply. Additionally, the switch has an impulse withstand current of 0.4kA, which increases its reliability in the event of short circuits in the installation.
The test button allows you to regularly check the correct operation of the switch, and the contact position indicator makes it easy to identify the status of the device (ON/OFF). This gives the user confidence that the protection system is working properly and effectively protects them from potential hazards.
