Protection and safety in your electrical installation
Residual Current Device (RCD) EFI-P2 AC 40/0.3 is a key element of every modern electrical installation, providing effective protection against electric shock and protecting devices from damage caused by short circuits and overloads. Its reliable operation and compliance with applicable standards make it an ideal choice for both professional installers and conscious users.
Functionality and application
This two-pole RCD, designed to operate in AC networks with a voltage of 240V and a frequency of 50/60Hz, is characterized by a rated current of 40A and a residual current sensitivity of 0.3A. Thanks to this, it effectively reacts to dangerous leakage currents, minimizing the risk of electric shock and fires. Application in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks guarantees versatility and a wide range of applications. It is worth remembering that in the case of protection against indirect contact, it is recommended to use RCDs with a residual current IΔn ≤ 300 mA, and in the case of direct contact – IΔn ≤ 30 mA.
Construction and mounting
The EFI-P2 AC 40/0.3 RCD has been designed for easy mounting on a DIN rail, occupying only 2 modules in width. Its solid construction and IP20 degree of protection ensure durability and resistance to environmental conditions. The connection terminals allow the connection of multi-strand and solid conductors with a cross-section of 25 mm², which provides flexibility during installation. Additionally, the terminal protection against contact under voltage increases safety. The RCD also has a testing function with a "Test" button and a contact position indicator to facilitate identification of the device status.
