Protection and safety in electrical installations
Residual Current Device (RCD) EFI-P4 AC 40/0.1 is a key element ensuring safety in every electrical installation. It serves to protect against electric shock, both in case of direct and indirect contact with live elements. Additionally, it protects devices from potential fire hazard resulting from insulation damage. Its application is wide – from home installations, through commercial facilities, to industrial ones.
This four-pole residual current device, with a rated current of 40A and a tripping current of 0.1A, is designed to operate in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks. Thanks to its construction and parameters, it effectively reacts to leakage currents, minimizing the risk of dangerous situations. The rated residual current value of 0.1A makes it an optimal solution for both protecting people and equipment.
Construction and characteristic features
The EFI-P4 AC 40/0.1 RCD is characterized by a solid construction and high quality workmanship. Mounting is done on a DIN rail, which ensures easy installation and integration with the existing electrical infrastructure. Its width of 4 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The degree of protection IP20 guarantees protection against accidental contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
- Short-circuit strength: 10 kA – ensures resistance to the effects of short circuits in the installation.
- Wire cross-section: Possibility to connect stranded and solid wires with a cross-section of 25 mm² – flexibility in choosing wires tailored to the needs of the installation.
- Rated voltage: 415 V – compatibility with most standard power grids.
- RCCB function: Provides effective protection against AC (alternating) residual currents.
- NL version: Neutral pole N placed on the left side facilitates the organization of connections in the distribution board.
Additional functions such as a test button allow for regular control of the RCD's efficiency, and the contact position indicator facilitates identification of the device's status (ON/OFF/TRIP). Terminal protection against contact under voltage increases safety during installation and maintenance. The terminal design allows the use of insulated busbars on both the upper and lower terminals, which further increases comfort during device installation.
