The residual current circuit breaker protects against the effects of direct and indirect contact with live parts, and also prevents fires resulting from insulation damage. It is compatible with TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks, where the neutral and earth conductors are separated. Thanks to the 30mA sensitivity, it provides effective additional protection - i.e. protection of people against electric shock upon direct contact. Technical characteristics and construction
The EFI6-P2 AC 40/0.03 circuit breaker is characterized by high quality workmanship and durability. Mounting is done on a DIN rail, which facilitates integration with the existing distribution board. Its width of 2 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution cabinet. The device is adapted to work at temperatures from -25°C to 55°C and has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Short-circuit strength at the level of 6kA guarantees safety in the event of a short circuit in the installation. Suitable for conductors with a cross-section from 1mm² to 25mm², both solid and stranded. The rated voltage is 240V, and the rated impulse withstand voltage is as high as 6kV – which proves high resistance to overvoltage.
