Protection of electrical installations and devices – surge arrester ETITEC SM T12 300/25 1+0 RC
This surge arrester of class T1 and T2 is a key element ensuring safety in electrical installations. It provides effective protection against the effects of lightning strikes and overvoltages in the network, minimizing the risk of damage to connected devices. The leakage current-free design makes it particularly recommended for applications where maintaining continuous operation and avoiding unwanted shutdowns is important.
Construction features and application
The ETITEC SM T12 300/25 1+0 RC surge arrester is mounted on a TH-35 mm DIN rail and occupies 2 modules. This makes it easy to integrate with an existing distribution board. Designed to operate in TN, TN-C and TN-S networks, making it a universal solution for most installations. The rated AC voltage of 240V and the highest continuous operating voltage of 300V guarantee compatibility with typical network parameters. This surge arrester is used both in residential, commercial buildings, as well as in industrial facilities.
Performance and status indication
The surge arrester is characterized by high efficiency – an impulse current of 25 kA (10/350 µs) provides protection against strong overvoltages. Additionally, the presence of optical operating status indication allows for quick identification of a situation where the arrester has reacted to an overvoltage, which facilitates diagnosis and device replacement. The protection level of 1.5 kV (L-N and N-PE) effectively suppresses interference and protects sensitive electronic devices. The maximum wire cross-section of 35 mm² (single-/multi-stranded) and 25 mm² (flexible) allows connection of wires of different thicknesses, adapting to the specifics of the installation. The specific energy of 156.2 kJ/Ohm indicates the ability to absorb surge energy.
