This surge protector, class T1+T2, also known as a spark gap, is a key element in protecting electrical installations from the effects of lightning strikes and surges. The ETITEC GSM T12 surge protector is not only protection, but also information about potential danger. It has optical indication of operation, which informs about the need to check the device status after a surge. Additionally, the presence of a signaling contact allows for remote monitoring of the surge protector status and integration with alarm or building management systems.
Construction and practical application
The surge protector is based on spark gap technology, which ensures a fast response to impulse overvoltages. An impulse current level of 25 kA and a follow current extinguishing capacity of 50 kA guarantee effective protection even in the event of strong discharges. Rated AC voltage of 230 V and maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 V make it an ideal solution for standard electrical installations in residential and commercial buildings.
