The ETITEC MF T23 300/20 3+0 surge arrester is a reliable element protecting electrical installations from the effects of atmospheric and switching surges. Construction and operation

This surge arrester belongs to class T2 and T3, which means it effectively limits both strong voltage surges (T2) and smaller, but more frequent disturbances (T3). It uses varistor technology to quickly dissipate surge energy to ground. The built-in fuse acts as an additional protection, disconnecting the arrester in case of overload or short circuit. Optical signaling informs about the operation of the device, which facilitates diagnostics and quick response in case of failure.

Application and benefits

This surge arrester is ideal for use in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. It provides protection against damage to electronic equipment such as televisions, computers, alarm systems and controllers. Thanks to its high short-circuit strength (50 kA) and its ability to dissipate peak discharge currents up to 40 kA, it constitutes a solid barrier against dangerous surges. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section of up to 35 mm² (single-/multi-strand) and 25 mm² (flexible) ensures compatibility with various types of installations. The L-N and N-PE protection level of 1.5 kV guarantees a high degree of safety. Mounting is done on a standard DIN TH-35 mm rail, which greatly simplifies the installation process.
