Surge protector - for LED light sources ETITEC LP1 IP20 002442981
Protection of LED lighting installations – reliable surge arrester
This ETITEC LP1 modular surge arrester is a key element in protecting electrical installations, especially for LED light sources. It provides protection against the effects of sudden voltage surges that can damage sensitive electronic components. This is particularly important for LED lighting, which is becoming increasingly popular in both domestic and commercial applications.
This surge arrester is designed to operate in TN-S and TT networks, offering versatility of application. Optical signaling informs about the possible operation of the device, which facilitates quick identification of the problem and taking appropriate action. Short-circuit strength at 10 kA and the ability to discharge currents up to 10 kA (8/20) guarantee effective protection against overvoltages. The rated peak discharge current is as high as 20 kA, making it a solid protection for various loads.
The arrester is characterized by a rated AC voltage of 230 V, a maximum discharge current (8/20) of 10 kA, and a rated peak discharge current (8/20) of 20 kA. Its short-circuit strength (Isccr) is 10 kA, and the degree of protection (IP) is IP20. The device is classified as Type 2.
- Wide application: ideal for protecting LED light sources, but also other devices sensitive to overvoltages.
- Network versatility: compatible with TN-S and TT network systems – it will easily find application in most installations.
- Operation indicator: optical signaling allows for quick identification of the moment of intervention and the need to replace the device.
- Solid protection: high short-circuit strength and the ability to discharge currents provide effective protection against damage.
- Compact size: thanks to the IP20 protection class, it can be mounted in various places without fear of environmental conditions. The maximum wire cross-section of 1.5 mm² ensures easy connection to the existing installation.
The installation of the arrester is simple and intuitive, although the mounting method is defined as "Other", which suggests the need to adapt it to a specific switchgear system or modular housing. Remember to select the correct wire cross-section (maximum 1.5 mm²) and ensure adequate ventilation in the installation location. The device does not have a built-in additional protection or a remote signaling contact, which should be taken into account when designing the surge protection system.
