Isolating switch – reliable power disconnection

The SV 363 isolating switch is a solid and proven device designed for the safe disconnection of electrical circuits. It is suitable for both residential and industrial installations where reliable operation and high dependability are required. It is a key element in ensuring safety during maintenance and repair work, as well as a main switch in distribution boards.

Functionality and application

The device serves as a main switch in distribution boards and as an individual switch in electrical installations. It is important to note that the switch does not have built-in overcurrent protection – its function is solely to isolate the circuit. The ability to seal the lever in the ON and OFF positions further increases safety and prevents accidental switching on or off. This gives the installer confidence that the circuit will remain isolated during work.

Technical characteristics and construction

The SV 363 switch is designed to operate at a maximum AC voltage of 400V and a rated continuous current of 63A. The three-pole design ensures complete isolation of all phases. Made of durable materials, using frame terminals for connecting wires, guarantees a stable connection and long-term operation. The IP20 degree of protection protects against accidental contact, but does not provide protection against moisture – therefore, the device should be mounted in dry and well-ventilated places. The rated conditional short-circuit current Iq is 4kA, which indicates its resistance to sudden current surges. The device is characterized by a fixed mounting design, which ensures mounting stability.

Additionally, the switch has a red lever for easy identification of the status (on/off) and a contact position indicator for precise control of the circuit status. The possibility of supplying power from the top and bottom, as well as double busbar connection, increase installation flexibility. It meets the standards PN-IEC 60947-3 and PN-EN 60947-3, confirming its compliance with applicable safety standards.
