The ACUMAX AM 5-12 T2 battery is a reliable power source designed for both emergency (buffer) power systems and applications requiring frequent charge/discharge cycling. Construction and Key Features

The ACUMAX AM 5-12 T2 battery employs AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, in which the electrolyte is immobilized in highly porous glass fiber separators. This design eliminates the need for electrolyte top-ups, enhancing user convenience and minimizing leakage risks. Additionally, the battery is equipped with one-way pressure relief valves that protect the casing from damage due to excessive gas pressure during charging. This allows safe use in enclosed spaces without forced ventilation.

Designed for both buffer and cyclic operation, this battery offers an estimated service life of 6–9 years – depending on operating conditions and ambient temperature. It is certified for transport by air, sea, and land, making it a universal solution across multiple industries. The casing is made from flame-retardant ABS material compliant with UL 94-HB (an UL 94-V0 version is also available), enhancing operational safety.

The ACUMAX AM 5-12 T2 battery has a capacity of 5Ah (20-hour discharge rate) and a nominal voltage of 12V. Recommended charging current is 0.5A, with a maximum charging current of 1.5A. Buffer charging voltage is 13.65V ± 0.15V; cyclic charging voltage is 14.70V ± 0.30V. Maximum discharge current (for 5 seconds) reaches up to 90A, demonstrating its capability to handle high short-term power demands.
