LiFePO4 + BMS batteries - unmatched service life and low weight

LiFePO4 batteries are lithium-iron-phosphate variants. They often have a built-in BMS system. They are characterized by: • low weight - they are up to three times lighter than lead-acid batteries, • a very large number of work cycles - up to about 6000 (!) cycles at DoD (depth of discharge) 100% and maintaining about 80% of the nominal capacity, • negligible self-discharge, • safety of use - lithium-phosphate cells are non-toxic and non-flammable, they do not ignite or explode. BMS (Battery Management System) is a battery management system. It protects the device from overcharging. When critical values are exceeded, the system cuts off the power supply. Additionally, the BMS system ensures even charging of individual cells. It allows full use of the battery capacity and guarantees its safe and efficient operation for a very long time - even for about 10 years!

Application of LiFePO4 batteries

Due to their unique properties, LiFePO4 batteries are used in emergency power systems and OFF-GRID installations. Due to their low weight, they are often used to power campers, food trucks and yachts (in boats only if a hermetic housing is used). They are also used in specialist electric vehicles.
