This microprocessor-based phase sensor is designed to monitor the power supply to electric motors, providing effective protection against damage caused by phase failure or voltage asymmetry. Functionality and application
CZF-311-TRMS not only detects phase failure but also monitors voltage asymmetry, allowing for comprehensive motor protection. In the event of a fault, the sensor switches off the circuit with a 4-second delay – sufficient to avoid unnecessary downtime caused by momentary voltage fluctuations. Automatic re-engagement occurs after the correct power parameters are restored (voltage increase of 5V). This minimizes the risk of motor winding damage resulting from operation under unfavorable conditions. The device is particularly useful in places with an unstable power supply or where there are frequent problems with energy quality.
Design and characteristics
The sensor is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only 1 module (18 mm wide) on the DIN rail. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures durability and reliability. Electrical connections are made using screw terminals, which facilitates installation and connection to the existing installation. No need for an external power source simplifies installation and reduces operating costs. A switching contact with a maximum load current of 10A allows easy integration with control and protection systems. It is worth noting the lack of phase sequence control and over/under voltage functions - the device focuses on the basic functions of protecting the motor against phase failure and asymmetry.
