Laser distance sensor for smart lighting
DRL-60-12 is a modern laser distance sensor, ideal for controlling lighting in corridors, stairs or other passageways. It uses ToF (Time of Flight) technology for precise motion detection and automatic light switching, providing comfort and energy savings. Mounting in a standard ø60 mm box makes integration with an existing installation extremely simple.
Features and application
The DRL-60-12 sensor offers a wide range of configuration options, adapting to individual needs. Adjustable detection range (0.1 – 2 m) allows precise determination of the operating area, and the brightness sensor prevents unnecessary light switching during the day. Smooth adjustment of the light hold-on time (0 – 10 minutes) and the soft switching function of the light ensure comfortable use. The device works perfectly with F&F AS-225 and AS-225D stairwell automatons, expanding its functionality.
- Precise detection: ToF technology guarantees accurate motion detection even in difficult conditions.
- Energy saving: Automatic light switching off after leaving the room minimizes energy consumption.
- Easy installation: Mounting in a standard ø60 mm box facilitates integration with the existing electrical installation.
- Configurability: Adjustable detection range, hold-on time and light sensitivity allow you to adapt the sensor to specific conditions.
- Compatibility: The ability to cooperate with F&F AS-225 and AS-225D stairwell automatons increases the functionality of the lighting system.
- Safety: Thermal protection protects the device from overheating.
Technical parameters and construction
The DRL-60-12 sensor is made of high-quality aluminum, which ensures durability and aesthetic appearance. It has screw terminals 2.5 mm² for connecting power and control wires to a load of 4A at a voltage of 12/24V DC. The device operates at a temperature from -10°C to 45°C and has an IP30 protection class, which provides resistance to dust. A built-in LED indicates the operating status of the sensor, making it easier to diagnose any problems.
The supply voltage is in the range of 9 to 27 V DC. The maximum load current is 4 A. The detection range is adjustable from 0.1 to 2 meters, and the brightness threshold sensitivity from 2 to 500 lx. The switch-on time can be set in the range of 0 to 10 minutes. The housing is made of aluminum, and the degree of protection is IP30.
The use of ToF (Time of Flight) technology ensures a precise distance measurement by emitting a laser beam and analyzing the return time of the reflected signal. Thanks to this, the sensor is resistant to interference and provides reliable operation even in difficult lighting conditions. It is important to remember the correct installation – avoid placing the sensor opposite strong light sources or mirrors that may interfere with measurements.
