Precise ToF Technology for Intelligent Lighting Control
The DRL-60-12-1 laser distance sensor utilizes advanced Time of Flight (ToF) technology, enabling extremely precise distance determination by emitting a light beam with a wavelength of 940 nm and measuring the delay of the light reflected back from an obstacle. This method guarantees detection accuracy within an adjustable range of 0.1 to 2 meters, making it an ideal solution for lighting control in corridors and stairwells.
Advanced Detection Features and User Comfort
The built-in brightness sensor automatically prevents lighting activation when natural light levels are high, within an adjustable range of 2 to 500 lux. The adjustable hold-on time, from 0 seconds to 10 minutes, allows adaptation to individual user needs. The sensor is equipped with a soft start and soft off function for controlled lighting circuits, which operates when the hold-on time is set to a value greater than zero and when dimmable light sources are connected to the sensor.
Compact Design and Easy Installation
The device features external dimensions of 80×80×6.5 mm and is designed for installation in a standard Ø60 mm junction box with an installation depth of 25 mm. Made of powder-coated aluminum in white (RAL 9003), it ensures not only an aesthetic appearance but also durability and resistance to environmental conditions. Magnets located in the sensor prevent its accidental protrusion from the mounting box.
Electrical Parameters and Safety
The sensor is powered by DC voltage in the range of 9÷27 V and can directly control lighting circuits with a load up to 4 A, with a maximum switched LED power of 100 W. In cases where control of a larger load is required, the load capacity can be increased by connecting LED-AMP amplifiers mounted in a Ø60 mm junction box or on a DIN rail. The device's power consumption is only 0.3 W.
Regulatory Compliance and Operating Conditions
The device meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive LVD 2014/35/EU and Electromagnetic Compatibility EMC 2014/30/EU. Class 1 laser safety ensures full operational safety without risk of eye damage under normal use. The sensor operates at an ambient temperature from -10°C to +45°C with an IP30 protection rating and includes an LED indicator signaling the device's operational status.
System Integration and Expandability
The DRL-60-12-1 can cooperate with F&F AS-225 and AS-225D stairway timers, enabling the creation of advanced stairway lighting control systems. The open-collector output allows flexible connection of the controlled lighting between the "+" power supply and the controller's OUT output. Thermal protection safeguards the device against exceeding the permissible internal enclosure temperature, with overheating indicated by a blinking LED light at maximum brightness.
