Liquid level control relay – reliable installation protection

The PZ-831 RC relay is a three-state liquid level control relay, designed to monitor the presence of electrically conductive liquids. The device finds application in both domestic and industrial installations where maintaining the appropriate liquid level in tanks and equipment is crucial. Thanks to the adjustable sensitivity, the relay allows for precise adjustment to specific working conditions and the type of liquid being controlled.

Functionality and application

PZ-831 RC enables monitoring of the minimum and maximum liquid level, which allows for automatic control of pumps, valves or other devices. Thanks to three switching contacts, it is possible to implement various operating scenarios, e.g. activating an alarm in the event of exceeding the permissible level or automatically replenishing the tank. The relay is particularly useful in irrigation systems, wastewater treatment plants, retention tanks and many other industrial applications. However, it is important to remember that it is not suitable for measuring the level of rainwater – in such cases, it is recommended to use the PZ-829 RC-WD model.

Construction and mounting

The PZ-831 RC relay is mounted on a standard TH-35 rail, which facilitates its installation and integration with the existing electrical infrastructure. It has screw terminals for connecting wires with a cross-section of up to 4 mm², ensuring a safe and stable connection. The device is characterized by a compact design (3 modules – 52.5 mm wide) and high resistance to environmental conditions (operating temperature from -25°C to +50°C). Additionally, the probe terminals are galvanically isolated from the power supply network, which increases safety of use. The relay has 4 inputs for electrodes and adjustable sensitivity in the range of 1÷180 kΩ. The maximum contact load current is 8A.
