Priority relay – intelligent load management

The PR-603 priority relay is a solution dedicated to situations where high-power consumers are present in the electrical circuit. Its task is to prevent overloads and short circuits that could trigger protection devices. The device allows for prioritized power supply to one of the consumers, temporarily disconnecting the rest in the event of exceeding the permissible load. This is an ideal solution for workshops, households or commercial facilities where devices requiring significant energy are used simultaneously.

Functionality and application

The PR-603 is designed for panel mounting and features a through-channel for the power supply cable of the consumer. This allows for easy connection and galvanic isolation of the relay's measurement circuit from the consumer circuit. Therefore, even if the current drawn by the priority consumer exceeds 15A (the limitation applies to the cable cross-section in the through-channel – max Ø 4mm), the device will operate correctly. When connecting a non-priority consumer directly, its current should also not exceed 16A – otherwise, the use of an additional contactor is recommended.

The relay finds wide application wherever it is necessary to protect the installation against overload caused by the simultaneous operation of several high-power consumers. It allows for effective energy management and ensures continuous power supply for the most important devices.
