The OM-2 power limiter is a reliable device that automatically disconnects the power supply to an electrical circuit when the set power consumption value is exceeded by the connected receivers. How does it work? OM-2 allows normal power supply to the circuit as long as the total power of the receivers is lower than the one set on the limiter scale. When the threshold is exceeded, the power supply is disconnected. After the set time, the power supply will be automatically restored – if, of course, the power consumption returns to an acceptable level. This will prevent sudden surges in power consumption from shutting down the entire installation. A built-in delay circuit (1.5÷2 s) prevents unnecessary shutdowns caused by momentary power surges.

Worth knowing: The OM-2 limiter has adjustable power setting in the range of 200-2000 VA and power return time (4÷150 s). The maximum AC-1 load current is 16 A. However, remember that the limiter should not be used in systems with electronic ignition (energy-saving fluorescent lamps), impulse power supplies and other devices generating harmonics of 3 or higher – they may disrupt the correct operation of the device. The device has screw terminals 2.5 mm² and a tightening torque of 0.4 Nm. The power consumption of the limiter itself is only 0.8 W at an operating temperature from -25°C to +50°C and a protection degree of IP20.
