The PZ-828 RC relay is a single-pole liquid level control relay designed to detect the presence of electrically conductive liquids. It comes with a PZ probe, making it ready to use straight out of the box. The device is particularly useful in areas prone to flooding, such as boiler rooms, laundries, or rooms with solenoid valves, where rapid detection of a failure can prevent serious consequences.
Functionality and application
The PZ-828 RC relay operates on a simple conductivity principle. In a dry state, the relay contact remains in the 7-4 position. When liquid is detected (short circuit of the probe electrodes), the contact switches to the 7-8 position, enabling the activation of an alarm or the disconnection of an electrical load. Sensitivity adjustment allows you to adapt the relay's operation to the specifics of the controlled liquid and environmental conditions. The ability to connect up to 10 probes in series or parallel expands the range of applications – in series for control in multiple points requiring a simultaneous short circuit of all sensors, and in parallel for an alternative arrangement where a short circuit of one of them is sufficient. It should be noted that the device is not intended for measuring rainwater levels.
Construction and mounting
The relay has a housing with a width of 2 modules and is mounted on a standard TH35 rail. Screw terminals provide a solid connection of the wires. The probe design allows for easy mounting on a flat surface. The probe cable can be extended up to 100 meters, providing great freedom in sensor location. It is important to remember to separate terminals 5-6 from the power supply network. The device is characterized by high reliability and durability, guaranteeing long-term use without the need for frequent replacement.
