Application and functionality

The device is designed to control heating devices to prevent freezing of gutters, driveways or stairs. Thanks to the temperature regulation range from -4°C to 5°C, the controller effectively protects against the effects of low temperatures. This purpose results from the characteristics of the relay contact – which remains closed (2-1) until the set temperature is reached, and then disconnects (2-8) switching off the heating device. A temperature drop below the set threshold re-engages the heating circuit.

Construction and parameters

The RT-821B controller is equipped with a NO/NC switching contact with a load capacity of 16A at 230V AC. Its operation is based on the analog principle, which ensures stable and predictable operation. The lack of a built-in temperature probe requires purchasing it separately, giving the user the ability to choose the appropriate type of probe adapted to the specifics of the application. The IP20 protection class provides protection against touching with fingers and against larger solid bodies, making it safe to use.

Installation and safety
