Universal Time Relay for Automation

The PCA-512 UNI time relay is a reliable device designed for time control in a wide range of applications – from industrial automation to home installations. It will be useful in ventilation, heating, lighting, signaling systems and many others. Its versatility results from the possibility of powering it with both AC and DC voltage, as well as a wide range of time adjustment. DIN TH35 rail mounting makes it easy to integrate with existing infrastructure.

Function and Principle of Operation

The PCA-512 UNI relay operates in delayed dropout mode. After applying the supply voltage, the contact switches to position 11-12, starting the countdown of the set time. During the countdown, a red LED indicates the relay is working. After the set time has elapsed, the contact returns to position 11-10. The next work cycle starts after re-applying the supply voltage. A green LED indicates the presence of the supply voltage.

Time Ranges and Electrical Parameters

The relay offers a wide range of time adjustment, from 0.1 seconds to 576 hours, allowing it to be adapted to specific application needs. Adjustment is smooth within the set time range after switching off and on the power supply. The rated switching current is 10A at 250V AC, and the switching capacity for inductive fluorescent lamps is 650 VA. The device is adapted to work in the range of supply voltages from 12V to 264V AC/DC.

The time ranges include: from 0.1 s to 1.2 s, from 1 s to 12 s, from 10 s to 120 s, from 1 minute to 12 minutes, from 10 minutes to 120 minutes, from 2 hours to 24 hours, from 1 day to 12 days (corresponding to a range of 24-288 hours) and from 2 days to 24 days (corresponding to a range of 48-576 hours).

Electrical parameters include: supply voltage in the range of 12V to 264V AC/DC, rated switching current of 10A at 250V AC, switching capacity for incandescent lamps equal to 1500W, and capacity for fluorescent lamps (DUO compensation) of 650 VA and (with parallel compensation) – 500 VA.

Additional information: When the power is on, the circuit does not react to a change in the time range setting - operation with the newly set time range occurs after switching off and on the power supply. Smooth time adjustment is possible within the set time value when the power is on.
