Universal time relay for building and industrial automation
The PCS-506 time relay is a versatile device designed for time-based control in various applications – from home automation (lighting, ventilation, heating) to industrial and signaling systems. Its eight functions and wide time setting range make it an ideal solution for both installers and end-users looking for reliable and precise time control. Mounting in a standard flush-mount box with a diameter of 60 mm ensures discreet integration with the existing installation.
Functions and capabilities
The PCS-506 relay offers as many as eight different operating functions, allowing it to be adapted to the specific needs of a given application. Available functions include:
- Delayed energization: Starting the load after a set time.
- Delayed de-energization: Switching off the load after a set time from the moment of energization.
- Pulse energization: Switching on the load for a specified time and then switching it off.
- Pulse de-energization: Switching off the load for a specified time and then switching it on again.
- Pulse shaping: Generating short pulses with adjustable length.
- Timing on rising/falling edge: Cyclic switching on and off of the load with adjustable pulse duration.
- Flashing on rising/falling edge: Fast switching on and off of the load with adjustable pulse duration.
- ON/OFF mode: Constant switching on or off of the contact after power is applied.
The wide time setting range (1 second to 86400 seconds, i.e. 24 hours) allows for precise adjustment of the relay's operation to specific application requirements. In addition, smooth time adjustment within the set range provides even greater flexibility.
Installation and electrical parameters
The PCS-506 relay has been designed for easy mounting in a standard flush-mount box with a diameter of 60 mm. Electrical connections are made using screw terminals, ensuring a secure and durable connection of the wires. The relay is designed to operate at 230 V AC and has a normally open (NO) changeover contact with a maximum current load of 10 A. It is worth remembering that with the power on, the system does not react to changes in the time range setting – the new configuration will only take effect after a short power interruption. This protects against accidental changes to settings during operation.
