Liquid level control – reliability and precision of operation

The PZ-829RC relay is a device designed to monitor the level of electrically conductive liquids, finding applications in various installations – from domestic to industrial. It allows maintaining the optimal level of the controlled liquid within a specified range, which translates into safety and efficiency of the system. Thanks to adjustable sensitivity, the relay adapts to the specifics of the medium and operating conditions, minimizing the risk of false alarms. The set includes three PZ2 probes, which facilitates installation and ensures full functionality immediately after purchase.

Functionality and application

The PZ-829RC relay is used in flood protection systems, water level control in tanks, monitoring fluid levels in heating or cooling installations. Its two-state nature (min/max) allows for precise determination of the liquid state and triggering appropriate reactions – from activating an alarm to automatic control of pumps or valves. Electrode probes, connected to the relay, detect the presence of liquid based on its electrical conductivity. The use of sensitivity adjustment allows adaptation of the device to different types of liquids and environmental conditions.

Construction and mounting

The relay is mounted on a standard TH35 rail, which facilitates its integration with the existing electrical installation. Compact dimensions (3 modules – 52.5 mm wide) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. Screw terminals with a cross-section of 4 mm² ensure secure and durable electrical connections. Electrode probes are connected using wires with a core diameter of up to 1 mm² and a maximum length of 100 m, providing a large degree of freedom in the placement of sensors. It is important to remember to separate the probe terminals from the mains – terminals 4-5-6 are isolated by a transformer to ensure safety. An LED indicates voltage as well as maximum and minimum liquid levels.
