Intelligent energy consumption monitoring

This three-phase WI-MEF-3 energy meter, also known as FOX ENERGY 3, is an advanced device for precise measurement and analysis of energy consumption in home and industrial installations. It operates wirelessly via Wi-Fi, providing convenient access to data from anywhere. The device is particularly useful in photovoltaic installations and with heat pumps, enabling accurate measurement of both energy consumption and generation.

Functionality and application

The WI-MEF-3 monitor allows real-time tracking of electrical network parameters such as voltage, current, power and total energy consumption. This allows users to better understand their energy habits, identify areas for potential savings and optimize energy costs. The device works both in home monitoring and in more advanced industrial applications. Remote access to data via a mobile application or web browser provides full control over energy consumption in real time.

Construction and installation

The device is designed for mounting on a standard 35 mm rail inside an electrical distribution board. Compact dimensions (2 modules – 35 mm wide) allow for easy integration with existing infrastructure. The kit includes miniature current transformers, which enable non-invasive installation – without the need to interfere with the power cables. The transformers are openable, making them easier to install on cables up to 16 mm in diameter. Screw terminals allow connection of stranded wires (2.5 mm²) and solid wires (4.0 mm²). The tightening torque is 0.5 Nm. The device is characterized by high measurement accuracy – meter 1%, and measurement transformers 0.5%. The transformers measure primary current up to 100A at secondary current 30mA. The meter constant is 1000 imp/kWh.

The device operates at temperatures from -20°C to 50°C with air humidity up to 90% (without condensation). Power consumption does not exceed 2W at radio frequency 2.4 GHz and radio power ≤ 20 dBm and receiver sensitivity -98 dBm. The IP20 protection class provides protection against accidental contact and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
