Heating and cooling system protection – Fernox AF10 biocide

Fernox AF10 universal biocide is an effective way to limit the growth of bacteria and fungi in central heating systems, both in indirect systems and chilled water systems. This preparation is particularly recommended for use in low-temperature installations, where the risk of microorganism development is increased. The addition of AF10 helps maintain system efficiency and prevents problems associated with biological contamination.

**Application and dosage**

One 500 ml bottle of AF10 is sufficient to treat the water in an installation with a capacity of up to 200 liters or with 20 radiators. The agent should be added through the expansion vessel or, in closed systems, through an access point in the form of a suspension of the preparation in water. In the case of severe contamination of the expansion vessel, it is recommended to empty and clean it with undiluted AF10 preparation first, then refill and supplement with Fernox Protector F1. To ensure long-term protection, the treatment should be repeated once a year.

**Important tips:**

• In individual indirect feed tanks (e.g. ‘Primatic’), chemicals intended for drinking water should be used.
• If there are no effects after using AF10, it may be necessary to clean the installation and add fresh Protector F1 preparation.
• The preparation should be stored out of reach of children and caution should be exercised when using it – it is a harmful substance. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
