Flexible connection of different materials and diameters

The Funke VPC flexible connector is a reliable solution for connecting sewer pipes made of various materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP and others. It allows connecting pipes with different geometries (smooth, corrugated or ribbed) and different outer diameters, eliminating the need for additional adapters in many cases. This is particularly useful for repairs, modernization of sewer networks or connections to existing infrastructure.

The VPC connector is characterized by high flexibility and adapts to ground movements, minimizing the risk of damage and leaks. The construction with an elastomeric sealing sleeve, a positioning basket made of plastic and steel alloy straps ensures a tight and durable connection. The sleeve made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber) has a double sealing profile in accordance with PN-EN 1610, guaranteeing reliability. The positioning basket made of durable plastic ensures centric alignment of the connected elements.

Construction and assembly

The VPC connector consists of several key elements: a sealing sleeve, a positioning basket and two steel straps. Assembly is simple and quick – just place the connector on the connected pipes and then tighten the steel straps. This ensures that the diameter reduction process takes place evenly around the entire circumference, and the articulated middle part of the basket allows separate adjustment on each side of the connector. This solution prevents the rubber from wrinkling when adjusting diameters.

Versions resistant to oils and chemicals have elements made of V4A stainless steel (1.4404), which increases their durability and corrosion resistance in difficult environmental conditions. The connector is resistant to oils, gasoline and aggressive substances contained in wastewater and soil.
