The Funke VPC flexible connector is a reliable solution for connecting sewer pipes made of various materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP and others. It allows connecting pipes with different geometries (smooth, corrugated or ribbed) and different outer diameters. This is particularly useful during repairs, modernization or expansion of sewer networks.

The VPC connector is characterized by high flexibility and adapts to ground movements, minimizing the risk of damage and leaks. The construction with an elastomeric sealing sleeve, a plastic positioning basket and steel alloy straps ensures a tight and durable connection. This makes the installation resistant to mechanical and chemical loads.

Construction and application

The VPC connector consists of several key elements:

• Elastomeric sealing sleeve: Made of EPDM rubber (according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60) with a double sealing profile, guaranteeing reliability and tightness according to PN-EN 1610. Protrusions on the circumference of the sleeve ensure proper engagement with the positioning basket.
• Positioning basket: Made of durable plastic resistant to low and high temperatures. The conical central part and grooves for guiding the tape allow for centric and stepless adjustment of the pipe diameter.
• Steel alloy straps: Allow for bilateral, separate and smooth adjustment of the connector diameter, ensuring uniform adaptation to different outer pipe diameters.
