Flexible connection of different materials and diameters

The Funke VPC flexible connector is a reliable solution for connecting sewer pipes made of various materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP and others. It allows connection of pipes with different geometries (smooth, corrugated or ribbed) and different outer diameters, making it an extremely versatile element of the installation. The VPC connector is particularly useful in repairs and modernizations of sewer networks, where connections of elements made in different technologies often occur.

Construction and principle of operation

The connector consists of several key elements: an elastomeric sealing sleeve made of EPDM (according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60), a positioning cage made of durable plastic and two steel alloy straps. The sleeve provides double sealing according to PN-EN 1610, guaranteeing the tightness and reliability of the connection. The positioning cage centers the connected elements, and the straps allow for precise diameter adjustment. The straps are made of alloy steel providing corrosion resistance and long-term use. The design prevents the rubber from sliding or wrinkling during diameter adjustment.
