Gas safety valve – quick shut-off in case of danger
The ZB-65K mushroom valve is a safety element for gas installations, designed to work with gas detectors. Its main task is to immediately cut off the gas supply in the event of a dangerous concentration being detected, ensuring safety in boiler rooms, residential buildings and other facilities with low-pressure gas installations. This valve can also function as a manual shut-off valve.
Design and operating principle
The ZB-65K valve is characterized by its fast action and reliability. It is opened manually, providing control over gas flow under normal operating conditions. Closing occurs automatically in response to a 12V electrical impulse (lasting less than 1 second) generated by the gas detection system or manually using a special button. It is worth emphasizing that the valve does not require power in the open or closed position – energy saving is an important advantage of this solution. Independence from the power supply means that a voltage drop does not affect the valve's status, and its design minimizes the risk of accidental opening after closing. A built-in mesh filter protects the valve from contamination, extending its service life.
Application and compliance with standards
The ZB-65K mushroom valve is widely used in:
- systems protecting gas installations in residential and commercial buildings;
- gas boiler rooms;
- low-pressure gas installations;
- as an additional element for manual gas shut-off.
The device meets the requirements of the PN-EN161 standard, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. The maximum working pressure is 25 kPa (0.25 bar). The valve has a flanged connection with a diameter of DN65, which facilitates installation and integration with the existing installation. The direction of gas flow is indicated by an arrow on the valve body – this should be taken into account during installation.
