Gas detection system mushroom valve – quick and reliable shut-off

The ZB-80K mushroom valve is a component of safety systems for gas installations, designed to immediately cut off the gas supply in the event of its detection. This is particularly important in places such as gas boiler rooms or residential buildings, where safety is a priority. The valve design allows for manual opening and electric or manual closing, providing flexibility in use.

Construction and operating principle

The ZB-80K valve operates on the principle of quickly shutting off the gas flow upon receiving an electrical impulse from the gas detection system. This impulse, generated when the permissible gas concentration is exceeded, causes the valve to close in less than 1 second. Importantly, the valve does not require constant power in the open or closed position – the energy-saving design uses an electrical impulse only until closing. Insensitivity to loss of power supply to the system guarantees continuous operation even in the event of temporary power failures. Additionally, the valve has a mesh filter that protects it from damage caused by contaminants in the medium.

The ZB-80K valve is widely used in low-pressure gas installations where effective and rapid gas shut-off is required in emergency situations. It can also function as a manual shut-off valve, increasing its versatility.
