Shut-off valve for safe gas supply disconnection

This shut-off valve, designated as MAG-3/DN65, is a reliable solution for automatically shutting off the gas supply in gas installations. It is a key element of the Active Gas Installation Safety System type GX, providing a quick response and eliminating the risk of natural gas or propane-butane explosion. It will be useful in boiler rooms, public buildings, and external reduction and measurement points. Thanks to the possibility of working in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX), it is a versatile choice for a wide range of applications.

Construction and functionality

The valve features a full-bore design and is opened manually only. Closing occurs impulsively – electrically (12V=) or using a button located on the housing. This design guarantees energy efficiency, as the valve does not require power in the open or closed position. Additionally, it is insensitive to momentary voltage drops, ensuring the continuity of the system even in the event of power supply problems. The valve diameter is DN100, and the connection diameter is DN65 – a DN65 counter flange set is standardly included in the set. The nominal pressure is 0.5 MPa.

Installation and user comfort

The set includes all necessary mounting elements: an opening key, two steel counter flanges, gaskets, and a set of screws and nuts. The simple construction facilitates installation and servicing. Small maneuvering space and the low force required to open the valve increase the comfort of the installer's work. Additionally, the valve is resistant to accidental opening in the closed state – it requires conscious action by the supervisory person. The dimensions of the device are 325 x 257 x 270 mm.
